エクスプローラー Iは1953年に登場し、3/6/9がアラビア数字・日付表示の無い非常にシンプルなデザインが特徴でした。

ヴィンテージモデルとして非常に有名なRef.1016、そこから大きなデザイン変更を経て実用モデルとなったRef.14270は目にした方も多いかと思います。

こちらのRef.114270はRef.14270から細かな変更を加えたアップデートモデルで、2001年から2010年まで生産されました。

非常に細かいポイントですが、インデックスやダイアルの文字がわずかに細くなり洗練された外観となりました。

また、風防の6時位置にはレーザー刻印の王冠マークが入っています。

ムーブメントの変更やフラッシュフィットの堅牢性アップといった実用面の向上も図られています。

36mmというスポーツモデルとしては小ぶりなケースサイズはどんな服装にも合わせやすい大きさです。

このムーブメントの特徴として、短針のみを操作できるようになったことと、テンプを支える板がツインブリッジになったことでより安定性が増しているのが特徴です。

またゼンマイもこれまでのノンデイト ムーブメント Cal.3000で使われていた平ひげゼンマイから→巻き上げひげゼンマイに変更されたことで、姿勢差による精度がより安定しました。

The Explorer I was introduced in 1953 and was characterized by a very simple design with 3/6/9 Arabic numerals and no date display. The very famous vintage model, Ref.1016, went through a major design change from there. Many of you may have seen the practical model of Ref.14270. This Ref.114270 is an update with minor changes from Ref.14270 It is a model and was produced from 2001 to 2010.
